I’ve had a strong interest in recording since I was a teenager. Actually, since I was able to walk, I have been fascinated with recording and music in general. As a toddler, I used to sit in front of the turntable and just watch records spin. Instead of stuffed animals or toys, I carried records with me everywhere.
I bought my first 4 track cassette recording device with money I saved from my first job right out of high school. I was hooked instantly. I just loved capturing sounds. I also loved playing and writing music. I spent all of my teen years learning to play multiple instruments, and to this day, I still get a rush from playing or recording something new. I love taking a sound, capturing it, then enhancing it, and challenging myself to make whatever it is, sound the very best it can be. Be it a vocal, a drum kit, a guitar, bass, organ, piano, even a tambourine. I want it all to sound amazing, and I don’t stop until it does.
I am a graduate of the recording program at the Musician's Institute of Hollywood, California. After graduation, I went on to work with engineers and producers for some of the biggest stars in the music industry. I was also fortunate enough to have a long career as an audio producer for radio, where I worked with a wide variety of celebrity television/radio/broadcast personalities including: Carson Daly, Casey Kasem, Ryan Seacrest, Peter Tilden and Delilah Rene. I also produced and edited hundreds of radio commercial spots for brands and nationwide chains, including Home Depot, Walgreens, Starbucks, Twinings Tea, OnStar Navigation, Kohl's and Starburst.
I have amassed a great collection of instruments, amplifiers, recording (and live sound) gear over the years to help me achieve the highest sonic quality. I pride myself on being able to work with any artist or musician, to help them deliver and capture their best performances here at my studio or at live sound events. I take a relaxed, no pressure approach that will put you at ease, so you can just focus on making great music.
As a seasoned musician and songwriter, I have been the client in several recording studios over the years. Based on many of those experiences, I have learned how to get the very best out of people and help them achieve their vision. As a live sound engineer, I draw on my own experiences as a performing musician to anticipate the needs of my clients, and to help them achieve the highest quality live sound possible. As a music producer and audio professional, there are very few that would go to the level of detail and quality that I commit to each project.
Let me know how I can help you on your next project.
